Inauguration of BPCL-Sponsored Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) for SC/ST Youth

HPSEWA Women Entrepreneurs Foundation proudly inaugurated the Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) for SC/ST Youth, a flagship initiative sponsored by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, in association with the BPC SC/ST Employees Association.
The inauguration ceremony marked the commencement of a 15-day intensive entrepreneurial training programme aimed at empowering aspiring SC/ST youth with the knowledge, skills, and confidence required to become job creators rather than job seekers.
The event was graced by Mr. Sanjay Sachdeva, Head – Human Resources Services (HRS), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), whose presence added immense value and inspiration to the occasion. Addressing the participants, he emphasized the significance of entrepreneurship in fostering economic growth, innovation, self-reliance, and inclusive development. He encouraged aspiring entrepreneurs to seize opportunities, establish sustainable enterprises, and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s progress.

The inauguration commenced with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by welcome addresses delivered by distinguished guests, programme partners, and representatives of HPSEWA Women Entrepreneurs Foundation.
Participants were introduced to the objectives and structure of the programme, which includes:
Expert-led entrepreneurship and business management training
Practical guidance on business planning and enterprise development

Mentorship and handholding support for starting and scaling businesses
Networking opportunities with professionals and fellow entrepreneurs
Accommodation facilities for outstation participants
The training programme is being conducted at the BPCL Housing Complex, D Block, Sector 56, Noida, Uttar Pradesh, providing participants with a professional learning environment and direct access to experienced mentors and resource persons.
During the inaugural session, speakers highlighted the transformative role of entrepreneurship in generating employment, strengthening local economies, and empowering individuals to achieve financial independence.
