Introduction of GEM & Maharashtra Tendering Module in HPSEWA WEF EDP Programs
As part of its ongoing commitment to strengthening practical entrepreneurship capabilities, HPSEWA Women Entrepreneurs Foundation (HPSEWA WEF) has introduced a specialized learning module on GEM (Government e-Marketplace) Tendering and Maharashtra Government Tendering within its Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP).
This module is designed to equip participants with practical knowledge of government procurement systems, enabling them to identify and leverage business opportunities through structured and transparent tendering processes.
To deliver this module, HPSEWA WEF invited Mr. Harshad Barge, an experienced professional in government tendering, to conduct training sessions for EDP participants. His sessions provided clear, practical, and step-by-step guidance covering tender registration procedures, documentation requirements, compliance processes, bid submission methods, and common challenges faced by new bidders.
The session received an excellent response from participants and proved to be a successful collaboration. Attendees gained valuable insights, confidence, and a practical understanding of how GEM and Maharashtra tendering platforms can be effectively utilized for business expansion.
Following the success of the program, HPSEWA WEF has continued to invite Mr. Harshad Barge to mentor and guide participants, ensuring sustained learning and deeper comprehension of tendering processes. His continued association has helped students build the confidence needed to participate independently in government tenders and explore procurement opportunities as a viable business avenue.
This initiative reflects HPSEWA WEF’s commitment to introducing industry-relevant, skill-based modules that directly support entrepreneurship, self-employment, and sustainable business development.
